June 2023, Week Thirty Four.

Hello my lovelies, me again! I'm really trying to catch up with things here, so double-posting today. But that just means more beautiful photos for you to enjoy, so, you're welcome!
This week in June I was still doing a lot of unpacking and organising. Luckily, these are things that I enjoy, so I didn't mind. It's just time consuming, and exhausting after a while. I was also busy with my VO auditions, and working on social media for the Disappear Here Film Fest. Despite all that, I had time to visit a friend in the village, and to see another aunt and uncle, who came to visit me here. They had been with me on the day I first looked at the house, so it was nice to be able to show them the progress I'd made.

Taken at 00:17. Not sure if this counts as Sunset or Sunrise?!

One of the days, I took a walk up and over the Ardagh Road and back to Ballyliffin village. Then I treated myself to lunch at my favourite local spot, Nancy's Barn. That day they had a crab claw special on, which made me immensely happy. I hadn't had crab since I was still living in Virginia, so this was a big treat. And the beautiful walk there and back was an added bonus!

Between Clonmany and Ballyliffin. A beautiful day!

Delicious crab claws at Nancy's Barn. Yum!

Beautiful colours over Pollan Bay! Taken at 22:14.

It was the Summer Solstice that week, and I went for a late night walk on the beach to commemorate it. When I was younger, I used to sleep outside in the garden and watch the sky as the sun barely dipped below the horizon before coming up again. Where I live now is so much further North that it barely got dark at all in the weeks around the Solstice, and it was a magical feeling to walk along the shore under the Sunset/Sunrise and see the colours reflected in the water.

Obligatory Airport Drink and Selfie.

On the Sunday I flew back to England to stay for a week. Gareth picked me up and we went to see his parents for a visit before going back to his to spend the evening together. The long distance relationship can be difficult at times, but we always have a trip to look forward to. We promised that we would see each other every month, so the gaps in between are never too long. Still, I miss him terribly, and there is always that excitement of running into his arms when he picks me up from the airport!
