November 2023, Walks, Wares, Women.

Happy February my loves! I hope that 2024 is treating you well so far? January got away from me and I am still behind with my Blog, but I have been busy with other projects, so I'm trying not to be too hard on myself. (This is a lifelong challenge for me! I always feel like I have not done enough, that I am not enough. I am working on being kinder to myself.) This month I am doing another online class for my VO work, as well as a fundraising challenge for Women's Aid. I am enjoying supporters all over Ireland who are walking 80km in February to raise money and awareness for this worthy organisation. 80km over 29 days might not seem like that big of a challenge to some people, but for someone like me, with multiple health issues, it is definitely a big undertaking, so please wish me luck! And if you are able to donate, you can find my fundraiser page HERE. Thank you!

Anyway, back to last November... That week I had a Christmas Craft Fair at the Clonmany Community Centre, so I had a lot of work to do to get ready for that. That meant that I didn't get out of the house as much as I would have liked, but I did manage a nice walk one day and treated myself to lunch at Nancy's Barn. I'm sure they'd worry about me if I left it too long between visits, haha!
The fair seemed to be a busy event, there were some lovely local wares on display, and it felt good to be selling some of my art work again. The Community Centre is such a great asset to the area, and I hope to do more events there in the future.
That Saturday night, I went out for a few drinks at the Ballyliffin Townhouse with some of my friends. They have been endlessly supportive of me since I moved here, and I feel so grateful to have such a wonderful network of women in my life, all over the world.
