Hello my lovelies, and happy Friday! I hope that you've all been having a good week so far? I am still very behind with life in general, but I'm glad that I've started to catch up a wee bit with this Blog. I've loved going back through the photos I took on Arranmore and reminiscing about that trip with Gareth. Being able to celebrate both his birthday and St. Patrick's Day on the island was a lot of fun! There is no-one else that I'd rather go on adventures with, we always have the best time. It doesn't matter what the weather is doing, we will make sure we have fun, and we both love exploring new places. Luckily, we have similar tastes in what we enjoy doing, so being able to share all those happy moments together is truly wonderful. I spent most of my life in a constant state of stress, for various reasons, but moving to Ireland has helped immensely, and Gareth has been a wonderful influence too. He helps me to live in the moment, and I've never been more content and happy!

Holding my catch proudly! Most sea glass I've ever found in a single trip.
Monday 18th March was our last day on Arranmore. We had a last delicious breakfast at Hughie Mickey Dan's, and then checked out of our accommodation. By the way, I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a place to stay on the island. It's the perfect location, and staying in a room above their wonderful cafe is a huge bonus! All of the staff were lovely and friendly, they really made our stay on the island that much better. You can find out more HERE. After checking out, we had some time to kill before our Ferry, so we went for a last drive around the island, and I found even more sea glass and pottery to take home! I felt like a fisherman showing off my catch, I've never found so many treasures in one day before. I can't wait to create some art and maybe jewelry with the pieces I found. We still had some time left, so stopped back at Hughie Mickey Dan's for an ice cream, before catching the Ferry back to Burtonport. Gareth drove us back to Inishowen and we had a quiet night in together before he had to head home on the Tuesday.

It's always a sad day when Gareth leaves, but he got back to England safely and went back to work. I had my own work to catch up on after he left, so the rest of the week was quiet for me. I did get out for a nice walk to the shore one day though. The colours of the sky and water that day were absolutely astounding, and the waves were pretty rough, so I took lots of videos to share with you all.

Sometimes I look back over the photos and videos I share, and you'd
think I was trying to convince you that the weather was always glorious
here, haha! Of course, we know that's not the case, but I do make a
point of taking more photos on bright days when the colours are so much
more intense. To counteract that, today I'm also sharing a couple of
photos of the wind and rain that I took from my art studio. I love the
more moody days just as much as the sunny ones, and find them all
equally as inspiring. I've started a series of new art pieces inspired
by the seascapes here, and using old pieces of fishing line that have
washed up on the shore, which I will share with you soon.
