Well hello again my lovelies, and happy Tuesday! I'm excited that I'm *only* about a month behind with this Blog. I think that's the closest I've been to being fully caught up since I first started it almost two years ago, woo hoo! Here are some photos and videos from my adventures during the second full week of August this year.

You might remember I went on a trip with some friends I knew from
Virginia last May? I traveled down as far as Galway with them while they
were in Ireland last year, and had an amazing time. Well this year, one
of the couples decided they had to come back to Ireland to see more of
this beautiful country, so I got to see them again! They were in Donegal
for a few days, so I traveled down on the bus to meet them in
Ballybofey, which we used as our base while they were in the County. It
was so good to see them again after over a year, and the first evening
we spent eating, drinking, and catching up.

Oh, and yes, those tee shirts mark us as
official members of the Muff Diving Club. Last year, I'd told them about
the Club after they drove to the town of Muff to meet me, and this year
I bought memberships for all of us as gifts. We decided we had to wear
our shirts together and represent! You can find out more about the Muff
Diving Club, and sign up for your own Membership HERE.
Edited to add, the lovely people over at the Muff Diving Club saw my post on Instagram and now we have been immortalised on their website Hall of Fame, woo hoo! You can see us HERE!

The next day we went for a scenic drive and took a ride on the Fintown
Railway, before heading to Glenveagh National Park to do more exploring.
I had last been in Glenveagh in 1997, so I was looking forward to going
again. We walked through the park, took a tour of the Castle, and then
spent some time in the Gardens before getting the shuttle bus back to
the car park. It was a fabulous day, and you can find out more or plan
your own trip HERE.

McKelvey's Bar, Ballybofey.
After getting back to Ballybofey and having a meal in our hotel, we went
out for a drink in the nearby McKelvey's Bar, and then on to catch some
live music at Gallen's Bar, which was a real treat.

The next day we
all had a lovely breakfast together before they headed off on the rest
of their road trip, and I caught the buses back to Ballyliffin. I had
some time to kill in Letterkenny, and discovered a few Charity Shops to
browse in, and a great place called the Central Bar where I stopped for a
pint.

Back in Ballyliffin for the rest of the week, my family were still
around, so I got to see more of them, as well as more of the extended
family. It was yet another busy week and I was honestly exhausted by the
end of it, leading to a bad flare up of my illnesses. This is the
downside to having an active social life! I love to travel and see my
family and friends, but I end up overdoing things, and my autoimmune
diseases like to remind me of that!
