Hello again my loves, how are you doing today? I am continuing my productive streak and posting for the third day in a row! Let's see how long I can keep this momentum going. ;-)
These photos and videos are from the first full week in June this
year. The weather was somewhat mixed, and I was busy with a few
projects, so I only got out for one long walk, but it was a good one. I
walked along the coastal path at Pollan Bay, and then in the path over
the bent grass, almost as far as Carrickabraghy Castle, before turning
back. The sea looked positively turquoise at times, and the sound of the
waves on the stones was so soothing. I also collected two big bags of
rubbish and recycling from the beach to take home and dispose of
properly, as well as some more old fishing rope to use in my art. It is
so sad to see how much rubbish gets washed up, but I do appreciate the
free art supplies!

On the Sunday that week I walked down to my family's shore house to
open it up in anticipation of visitors. One of my aunts is a Carmelite
nun down in Dublin, and she was coming to Ballyliffin for a holiday, and
my Mum came over from England to stay with her. It was good to see
them, as well as my Uncle and his partner who brought them down, and we
all had a good catch up. Later I made dinner for my Mum and Aunt and
stayed for the evening before walking home. It feels so good to be able
to simply walk to see family!
